What Did You Say?

The other day my mom and I were in the doctors office, and for the first time I noticed that one of the machines on the wall had a really long name. My mom and both spent the entire time waiting for the doctor trying to pronounce it. We must have sounded crazy to people on the other side of the door because we were saying sounds and  breaking into laughing fits. Here is a picture of the Machine, but even after asking the doctor how it is pronounced, I still can't say it.

Little Bit of Summer

School has started and I have been MIA. I haven't had much to share, so I haven't posted. Any over the weekend I went to my Aunts beach house for the last time this summer. Even though it is no longer summer, for the day it felt like it was. My mom and my friends Hannah drove down. It look a little longer to get going, so we didn't end up entering Hull until at least 1:00. We ate a little lunch with my cousins then Hannah and I took chairs and towels and went down to the beach. We were probably two of five people on the beach. It was empty! We faced the sun, sat down and within fifteen minutes were both asleep. Next thing I know my mom is taking pictures of us...  Anyway, we didn't stay long since the wind started to pick up and we were both freezing.
Later, we (Mom, Dad, Brother, Cousins, Aunt, Uncle, Cousin's friend, and Hannah) went to a put right on the water. When we drove up to the dock the sun was setting, and it was gorgeous! The best part was across the water you could see the tops of the skyscrapers of Boston!

The put was really small, but it was on the top floor of a building, so was we ordered and ate we were able to see the sun set over the boats.

Not only was the view amazing, but the food was delicious! I ordered the Chorizo Crushed Haddock with onion twigs and garlic green beans! YUM!

Sunday was a much more fall-like day. My dad invited me to the Patriots game, which happened to be the first home game of the season! I couldn't remember the last time I went to a pats game. My friend Hannah was able to explain football to me in a way that I finally understood it while we watched the Playoffs last year, so I really enjoyed going to the game a lot more then I would have if I didn't get it. My dad is also one of those guys who even at home gets reallllyyy into it, and yells at the TV (I guess he is a normal guy), so going with him, I really wanted to be able to watch and understand so I could follow along without having to ask a million questions. There were a couple terms that I didn't get, and sometimes people cheered and I didn't know why, but mostly I was able to understand what was happening, and get into the game. The Patriots did not play very well, so it (especially the first half) was pretty boring. At the end of the game, the Pats were able to make up a little and bring the score up to 18-20, but with less than six seconds left, they missed a field goal, and lost the game. It was still an exciting experience, and I would deff want to go again, but maybe they can win the next time!

I really needed this weekend because not only was it a chance to relax and be with family, but it also was a good transition from summer to fall. School started so suddenly that one day I was tanning all day and the next I was sitting in class. Football is something most Americans (including myself) associates with Fall, so mixing the Beach and Football in one weekend made it click that Summer is over, Fall is rolling in, and that I'm ok with it. Hope those who started school are enjoying it, and to everyone, embrace Fall and the new things it brings! (like changing leaves!)
