Stitch Fix

I am Stitch Fix's newest fan. I have known about them for a while through other bloggers and friends, but was a bit skeptical. I decided to sign up and see what happens. A few weeks ago I filled in my style profile, picked a date for my shipment, and started to wait. Today a package was dropped off with a big Stitch Fix label on it. The fact that you have no idea what will be inside the box is really exciting, and makes it so much fun. I opened the box and there was an envelope with a list of what is in the package. Then I opened the tissue paper and there was a back twist front sweater, a green cowl-like neck shirt, a floral shirt, a box with a dainty pair of earrings in it, and a teal-ish dress. I wasn't disappointed, nor was I impressed. I looked at the earrings, and liked them, but they were slightly too small, and I didn't need them. Then the sweater... oy. It was just strange... I wish I had taken a picture. I just can't explain it. It was like a short sleeved black sweater that someone had twisted in the front. I didn't really understand it. Then there was the green shirt. It was really soft, and I didn't mind the neckline, but it was a weird length, like almost too long but not quite, and the fabric sat funny on me. Plus it was like an army-ish green which wasn't great. Next I tried on the floral shirt. I really liked it, but I wasn't sure of the pattern, and it was slightly too small so that it still looked good, but was not comfortable.  Lastly I tried the dress on. It was a really flattering style for me. It had a wrap like skirt, with a ruffle around the neck, and an elastic in the waist band. It was also a bit longer in length which I liked. So in all, I only kept the dress, but instead of being discouraged, I gave the website as much feedback as I could, and can not wait for my next fix!

Flying Shoes

I haven't had anything to say, so I didn't post anything. I know, not a good excuse. Anyway I have a story. I completely lost my mind today.
Ok, so I had to go to an SAT tutor today, and I had forgotten to finish a couple problems, so right before we left, I was finishing them. We were in a slight rush, and instead of putting my shoes on inside, I grabbed them with my folder and calculator and phone, and ran to the car. In my haste, I dropped my calculator which came apart upon hitting the ground. I threw my stuff on the seat in the car, got down on the ground and searched for the batteries and cover piece. I got up, put my stuff on my lap in the car, and we left. I was stuck on a problem that I want to finished on the way there, so my focus was on that. We get there, and I go to put my shoes on to get out, but they are MIA. No shoes in the front seat, or the back, or the trunk... all I had was a pair of socks, and a few hundred feet to walk into a building. So... I went to my SAT tutor with no shoes on...
We go home, and I expect to find my shoes sitting innocently on the ground in the garage, but again I find no shoes. Then I check inside but still can't fine them. Then I realize that when my calculator fell, I put the folder and phone in the car, but put the shoes on the roof of the car. I flipped out. I had not realized they were on top, gotten in the car and we had driven off... I had my brother  drive down the street, and go to the light, and make the turn to the next street, and there, three streets away, strewn on the side of the road are my shoes. They survived being thrown from the roof, and sitting there for two hours. I'm so lucky I found them, and that they were intact, as if they were gently placed on the street.
Now the only thing I can think of is how crazy we must have looked sitting at the intersection with a pair of sperries on the roof of out car.

Stuck

I really hate confliction. I just can never decide what to do. Why does everything have to fall on the same week?! There is one week in August that I am supposed to work everyday, stay at my aunts, and go to a retreat. I was supposed to stay with my aunt from Sunday-Wednesday, but since I am supposed to work Monday-Friday, and my aunt lives 30ish minutes away, that would be hard. Also, I am supposed to go away Wednesday- Sunday... I can't be three places at once, so I have to figure it out, and decide.

Anyway, sorry for the short post, I have more to come soon, I PROMISE
