Summer Days

I feel like I have been saying this too much lately, but sorry I have not posted recently. It's not that I have been busy, I just lose track of time. This Summer, days go by so slowly, but then its night time, and I don't know where the time has gone. I haven't been up to much. My friends are all either at camp, or in The Cape. My mom and brother are at a golf tournament, and since my sister and dad work all day I have no ride anywhere. So far this week I have packed for my trip which I leave for on Tuesday, picked out books I want to read, and attempted to edit my iTunes, but gave up on account of the 3000+ songs in my library. I also went night swimming with two friends at one of their houses. The pool was absolutely freezing, and it took three hours to regain my body heat. Today I went to the bank to pick up my debit card which my dad hadn't realized he already got in the mail, burn toast which set the fire alarm off, and watched the show Bizarre Foods. I wrote letters to my friends which basically restated what this post says.
The only some what interesting thing I have done recently, is make dinner for my dad and sister. I found some recipes online, and decided on sesame-orange shrimp. If you want the recipe click here. It was surprisingly easy: First you mix cornstarch, salt, pepper, egg and sesame seeds in a bowl. Add the shrimp so it gets coated. Then add half the shrimp at a time to a non-stick pan with oil. When the shrimp is pink, place it on a paper towel, and add orange juice, soy sauce, sherry, and oil into the pan. Let boil, then reduce. Add the shrimp back to the pan, and serve. The shrimp itself was really good, but my family and I did not love the sauce so we ate it with out. Next time I make it, I am making a orange-ginger sauce which will still compliment the sesame and shrimp. My sister made a quick tossed salad, and ta-da! dinner! (sorry for the poor quality of the picture, I used my sister's phone)

First Day of Summer

The first day of summer, you are supposed to lay in the sun at the pool, or float in the waves at the beach, not go to two doctors appointments, babysit and shop. As you can tell, my first day of summer was not a very summery day. I woke up early to go babysit three boys who live on the next street. They decided to wrestle while stuffed in pillow cases... not the safest thing, but they had fun. When I got home, I had to go straight into the basement because our house was being cleaned, and I always feel bad so I try to stay out of the way. I lost track of time, and watched a whole movie.  When my mom came home from work, we went to look at luggage for my trip. I have a suitcase, but it is a soft shell, and even with clothes in it, it turns into a pile of mush. We looked at hard shell suitcase, since I will be living out of it for three weeks, and need it to stay some what organized. I then had to rush to my first doctors appointment. That took an hour, then we had to rush to the next appointment, which took a good amount of time as well. We happened to be right next to a Target, so we went shopping. I got a few badly needed sundresses (pictures coming soon) and some toiletries for my trip. Afterwards we went over to Best Buy to look at my birthday present! My mom had already gone to pick out a camera, and I loved the one she picked. It is just what I wanted. Can't wait to get it!!! I finally got home at nine-ish, and am now putting clothes away, and blogging- what else! Well sorry for the long boring post, I'm trying to make up for the month and a half I was MIA.

Fashion Post coming soon- I promise!

P.S. Please leave a suggestion/comment/question.

xoxo

Dear Amy:

"Heyy!! How did you get this? I have a blog and I want people to be able to leave me a comment, question, or suggestions and this seems like a great way for people to do that!! So I was just wondering how you got this on your blog. "

Hey!  I used google docs... (thank you school) and it gave me the HTML to put into the "Edit HTML" spot. I can show you sometime, but you create a spread sheet thing on Google Docs (I used a pre-made template) and then click like embed or something, then put the code/text it into the HTML. The questions and stuff come up on a document on your gmail account in g.docs. I also made a page on my blog for it. For that you go to New Post, then edit pages and add a page. Hope that made sense.

xoxo

Shiny New

What do you think? Seriously... I NEED to know. I like how calm the new look is.... it is good for summer, and i think it was just time for a change. I wanted to change it a lot, but Blogger only have a few template, and I don't know how to make my own. Either comment below, or here: http://mollyshuman.blogspot.com/p/ask.html

Weighing Me Down

It is officially Summer. Today is the first day of a no school week. I don't know what to do with myself. I keep having that feeling of "I-know-there-is-something-I should-be-doing-right-now" when I am just sitting around. It is as if there is weight pressing down on me, but I don't know where it is coming from. During the school year, homework was always to cause of it, but now I don't know what it is. All i can think of is: Packing, Cleaning my room, Working out, and Blogging....  So I am going to try to get a little of everything done today and see if the weight goes away.

xoxo

P.S. Should I sign all my posts? like with xoxo? I do it randomly b/c I don't know if I like it, if you like it...
P.P.S. Please send me a question/comment/suggestion for what I should blog about. I have some much on my mind, that I sort of start rambling. If you want to see more fashion related stuff, let me know. Please!
P.P.P.S. I go a blog makeover.... I'm still deciding.

Long Time No See

Hello. I know it has been wayyy too long since I have posted, but life got in the way. Here is a little recap of the last few months: I broke my wrist and had surgery. I had a very unpleasant E.R. experience. I was in school... I had finals, and survived.  I am going away in 16 days on a teen tour and still have a ton to buy and need to pack.
Today was Father's Day! Hope all the Dads out there had a great day. I spent the day driving a golf cart while my mom, and grandparents played golf. That seems to be the way I spend holidays now. I did pretty well, except the golf cart we had had a mind of its own, so once when I went to turn, the tires didn't move, and I crashed into a stone wall. The cart went unscratched, but I went a little slower in my turns the rest of the day.
On a side note, I finally finished the Harry Potter series. I started the first book back in November. I took my time reading the first three, but after April, I read through four-seven really quickly. I read number five in a week (while in school six hours a day plus four hours of homework). I read the last two non-stop; I couldn't put them down.  I have now watched all the movies that are out, and read all the books, so I haven't really known what to do with myself, since Harry Potter has taken up so much of the last few months. I can not wait for the last movie, but I am away when it opens, and have to wait two weeks to see it.
Alright, enough HP, so my trip. I am going on a Trek-West teen tour for 3 weeks. It starts in Phoenix, and go to Sedona, The Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Lake Tahoe, and end in San Francisco. There are about 25 teenagers, 2 counselors, and 1 tour guide. It will be interesting and I will be sure to write all about it.
Hopefully I am back to bloging a few times a week, but if not, I will be back at some point.
