Traveling Bag

Have you ever gone away to another country, and had a bag get lost? Well, it happened to me for the first time this vacation. We got to the airport, and got all of our bags but two. We are waiting... and waiting.... and finally a worker said to us, "No more bags..." We looked at him like he was crazy. Being a teenage girl, that is like the worst news I could get. Eventually after a while of waiting and talking to people from the airline, we find out that my bag and my sister's bag missed the connection. Since we flew in on Christmas eve, they said they were going to have a hard time getting them to us quickly.Blah Blah Blah.. Long story short.... my bag got here a day late and my sister's bag is still circulating between Miami, Haiti and DR.

Lesson: Either never check your bags, or always put a toothbrush, underwear, bathing suit, meds and anything else necessary for survival, in your carry on.

Packing

This has to be a quick post since I am leaving in about 9ish hours, and I am not packed.

So packing. Just thinking about it makes me tense. I enjoy the part when you are somewhere and are packing to leave since there is no choices. You just roll it all up, throw it in the bag and all done! But to lave from home is a whoooole nother story. First, I am restrained by the weight of the bag. 50 lbs, thats a joke. Second, I only have one bag. A week is a long time, and I never know if I have everything.

For this trip it isnt as bad since my friend is coming and hopefully if i forgot something, she will have it!

But the fact that I need to choose from an entire closet of clothes and not have that many options is so had for me.

What is packing like for you?

I have to go pack. YIKES.

Tanks In Winter

I am going away in a week, and I need more shirts to wear. I feel like my shirts evaporated... It is so weird. Anyway, the more I look for tanks, the more I realize that what I want isn't really available. The style in stores now is racerback, chiffon and no shape. I am in need of shirts that are loose, cotton and give a little shape... there is nothing. Today we are stoping at 344, Urban, Forever 21 and American Apparel. (and Sephora to exchange my straightener.) Hope I find something!

Also, I have decided I prefer winter clothes. I love jumping into a over sized sweater, leggings and boots. I always know I will look ok in it and don't have to worry about my arms looking gross or if I need to shave. I always get stressed when I go away in december because I have to switch modes again. When winter ends, I slowly get used to shorts and tanks. But I need time to transition. I am not complaining though. I get to go to warm weather for a week!

Another note, I got new boots!

"All I want for my birthday is to hangout with old people" PART II

After sitting down for dinner, our waiter came over. Before I continue, you have to know that Dicks Last Resort (the restaurant) is known for the waiters being mean to the customers. Its like a skit. The waiters are normally people who want to be actors. Ok, so our waiter came over and first asks if we had been there before, then if we know how the place works. Then he drops the place mats and silverware on the table. After asking for out drinks while saying things like "come on... I don't have all year."He left. The restaurant also has this one guy who his job is to be like a clown. He was dressed as a trashy Santa. He was hilarious. He was carrying around a bottle of some alcohol, and was pretending to be drunk.
Another thing about Dicks it that they don't have a physical menu to look at. it is on a chalk board in the front. So the waiter comes over, reads (shouts) the menu reallly quickly and says "ok, what do you want?" we were all like... uhhhhh.... Eventually we all order. The appetizers were yummmmy. We had nachos and the sampler. Finally our dinners came. I got the chicken. It came with veggies and mash. So there was what looked like a mini zucchini on top of the chicken. So with out turning it over, I cut it and stuck it in my mouth.... I spit it out after chewing for a second, and grabbed my water. It was a JalapeƱo. I don't take spice very well... My mouth was on fire. My ear was stinging. I started freaking out. Water supposedly makes it worse, and milk is really the only thing that helps. I am lactose intolerance.... so that wouldn't work. I found some cole slaw that had a "milky" sauce. I ate about two bowls of it. The burning wouldn't go away. But it did calm down enough so I could eat some chicken. It was funny... but from now on I am always checking to see what kind of veggie I am eating. Another fun thing about the restaurant is that they give you bibs and hat that say funny things. Also since it was my birthday, My hat had balloons on it. :)   Ours read "All I want for my birthday is to hangout with old people", "I give myself hickeys to make boys like me", "I still wet the bed", "I fart when I laugh" and "I practice kissing on my stuffed animals."
During dinner, one of the waiters kept walking by and either scaring E or popping one of the balloons on my hat. Anyway... After dinner, we had dessert. I WAS AMAZING. We got a brownie Sunday which was a brownie with a melted chocolate bar on top and vanilla ice cream on the side. We also got the pumpkin pie thing. I don't know what that was but it was delicious.

After we left the restaurant, we walked around a little bit. We went to Newbury Comics. We found some.... funny things. The best though was they had a TV screen with a camera on top, so you could see yourself on "TV".

After there, we wanted to get back to the car. On the way in, E and I found a little alley what is a way to get behind the stores to the streets. The first time we went thorough we felt like we were in Harry potter. When we went back through, we decided to yell DIAGON ALLEY!!! and take picture to prove we were there....

Then we met some people from Colorado who were really nice. They had asked about our beautiful hats. :). And of course my mom struck up a conversation with them. We ended up being in the same parking garage and rode up in the elevator with them. We then split up- AHL and My mom, E and I with my aunt. On the way back, my mom of course thought my aunt knew how to get home...which she of course didn't. So there were a lot of sudden calls and freaking out. We also had a great conversion with E and my Aunt about how E loves Jews and Boars... :) ..... At the light before my house, we decided to do a Chinese fire drill. For those who do not know what that is, it is when at a red light, everyone gets out of the car (except the driver normally) and leave the doors open. They run around the car a few times yelling at the told of their lungs, then when the light turns green, they get back in and drive off. So we got to the light, signaled to each other and got out, problem was E was on crutches... So she hoped around. The light turned green, and we all scrambled in- almost loosing a leg in the progress.

So The next post will be about the after party!!

"All I want for my birthday is to hangout with old people"

Last friday, I celebrated my birthday with my friends! For a while before my birthday, I had no clue what I wanted to do for it, but I finally decided on going into boston for dinner and then having a sleepover. After I figured out the what, I needed the who. I had originally made a list of about... 30+ people, that I wanted to come. My mom told me to narrow it down to four. :(   I was sad, but picked the few I could have. That day I was so jumpy in school. I had such a hard time concentrating. I got home at four-ish since my mom needed to go somewhere, and ran in the shower. After a quick shower, I dried my hair and got dressed. I changed probably... five times. :)  H got to me house around 5:30. I finished doing my hair and changed once more. L was next to get to my house, then A and E :) (I am only using letter for names because I don't know if they want me talking about them, or if people will be upset by who came and who didn't. SORRY!)  When everyone was here, we piled in the two cars, A, L and H with my mom, and E and I with my aunt. On the way there, My aunt kept freaking out because my mom drove off, thinking my aunt knew where she was going.  It was a fun car ride. We got there around 6:45 and walked over the restaurant. There was no wait so we sat down right away!

Ok, so this night will be in 3 post since I REALLY have to do my homework, but wanted to get a post up. xoxo for now!

Earmuffs and Failed Photo shoots

I have been trying to do daily posts, but since I am almost 100% positive I have an attention problem, I keep getting distracted/forget what I was going to say. But here is my week so far:

Monday:
I woke up at 6:30, which gave me only 4.5 hours of sleep. The night before I got into bed normal time... 11 or so. I just kept tossing and turning. It was terrible. Does anyone know what to do when this happens? So for a while I was taking Melotonin so help my mind turn off so I could fall asleep. I was doing fine on my own for a month or so, but sunday night was terrible. If I had chosen to fall asleep at 2 then I would have been fine but it is the fact that I just couldn't settle, that feeling of lying awake counting down the hours, that made me so cranky.
Anyway, school was normal. I had a huge test in history second block that I thought I knew the info for, but looked it over the night before and realized I didn't as well as I thought. Thank goodness for study. My friend and I looked over vocab the entire 90 minutes. I just looked on powerschool, I ended up getting a A(98) so all it good!!! Later in Art, I had to draw a self portrait, which I DESPISE. I hate having to look in a mirror and analyse my face. I do that enough on my own, but in my room...  Besides the portrait, I finished my other picture from the past few classes. before we drew, we had to make a sculpture out of white paper and tape, and my group decided to make a girl. We then had to draw the sculpture. (Yes I know there is no face. We ran out of time.)

After school, I was planning to take a nap because of my lack of sleep the prior morning, but I ended up filling in a ton of online forms for my Israel trip. I was so exciting to finally be doing something about it!   (more about the trip at  http://www.nftyeie.org/)

After the forms, I showered and got dressed because my grandparents were coming over for dinner. They are leaving for florida for a few months and wanted to say goodbye. I was told the wrong time that they were coming over, so I had an extra 45 minutes after I was ready. I decided to try a photo shoot. It didn't really work. In all the pictures, either my face looks really bad, or you can't see my outfit. :( here are three of the pictures. I really didn't want to share them, but you can now see what I mean by my FAIL of a photo shoot.

After dinner I finished my homework and watched some tv! That night I weirdly got to bet around 10:30. It felt great to go to bed and actually get around to 8 hours of sleep :)

Tuesday:
Nothing that exciting happened; got up, went to do my hair. Hair decided not to cooperate, I didn't want to wear clothes, so I put on my leggings and oversized sweater. Went down stairs, made lunch, ate breakfast, ran upstairs because I forgot to print my homework and to get socks. Waited around for my ride. Got to school, went to class...
OH! We had a new student in my homework! I think we scared him... We were like "I'M MOLLY" "I'M AMY" and everyone else yelled their name... he was quiet. haha, I hope he enjoys Needham!
So.... After homeroom, I went to math, got a bunch of quizes and tests back, did pretty well... Went to study, went to lunch, went to history, went to spanish.
     After school, I walked around with my brother, gave my friend a ride and went home... pretty boring..... Then, I was in my room doing homework when my mom comes in. She was like "So I found these at this store... Like them?" They were a pair of Fuzzy earmuffs! I have wanted a pair for a while! they are so cute and warm! I can't hear much when I have them on, but I would rather have my ears toasty warm then  be able to hear. :) {the picture is really bad because I took it after I worked out...}

So I think that is it.... Now I am waiting for dinner, listening to music and studying for a spanish test.

Two Things

1. I just wanted to shout out to all my viewers. Well I guess it could be one that views it 645 times, I don't know but thank you. It really means a lot to me :)

2. I had so much fun tonight. I hung out with a group of my friends and it was a blast. They are so funny and nice! Can't wait to hang out with them again. We pretty much talked and went on a trampoline and... thats it.

Well I thought I had more to say... guess now, but a bad post is better then none. Night viewers :)

Blah Blah Blah

Hello, this is a post about.. I don't even know. It will be little random things- Random is sort of how my brain works.  so.... lets see....

Friends:
So this is a tricky topic. I don't understand when 2 people enjoy being round each other and talk in school, but then out of school they mean nothing to each other. I wish I was like the girl in "No ordinary family" because she can tune into anyone's thoughts. So if I really like someone and want to be friends with them, I would be able to tune in, see what they think about me and then decide to ask them to hang out. Also its hard being friends with random people because I'm never really in a single group. I know a lot of people in this situation. When you have a few friends here, and a few there, you are never really "in" a group. I just makes things worse.... idk....

Pet Peeves:

  • When a shirt tag is sticking out
  • When people make plan in front of you and you are not invited, especially when they are        you're good friends
  • Brothers
  • Making plans and then having them not work out
  • Teachers being mean
  • Homework
  • Losing things
  • Being ignored or cut off
  • Nagging

To Do:

I really have to clean my room but I don't feel great. But on the other side I have no plans tonight and can't go down stairs since my brother is having friends over. well here is a picture of my room now. I'll post another later when it is clean.

I. O. U.

I owe you guys a post. I'm not sure what you guys want to hear. For now I can tell you about Hannuka

Tonight was/is the second night of Hannuka! Since I won't be home till 8ish and my brother won't be home till after that, we decided to do gifts after school. My brother got some mini golf game. I got a new straightener! I'm not sure if I will keep it because I still love the one I have, and i'm not sure how great the new one is. It is from Sephora, and is called the Sultra. I have never heard of it, but is highly recommended at the store.  I used it right after I got it, and i'm not sure if it is the chorine from yesterday or if it is the straightener, but my hair is all frizzy and has a strange texture... Anyway, last night I got boxers. haha. I use them to sleep in because they are softer than regular shorts.

I really excited for the next 6 nights!
